Introducing the DWP’s Restart Scheme
As part of the Chancellor’s Plan for Jobs, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have launched the Restart Scheme, to support millions of people across the country who have been impacted by Covid-19. It is understood that those who have been out of work for longer periods might need extra help to move back into employment. The Restart Scheme will meet this need through delivering a highly personalised and supportive employability provision to those needing help to find sustainable employment.
Motiv-8 are very proud to be supporting people across the East Devon area in Partnership with Seetec Pluss. Launched on 28 June 2021, across the South West of England, from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, Seetec Pluss will empower people over the next four years to break down any barriers that might be holding them back from finding employment. The Restart Scheme will provide up to 12 months support for each participant. Eligibility for the Restart Scheme is determined by Jobcentre Plus.
Motiv-8’s selection as a local specialist delivery partner will deliver expert end-to-end provision from the Beehive in Honiton. Motiv-8’s coaches and employment advisors will work closely alongside each individual to get to know their aspirations, strengths and develop a personalised package of support, tailored to both individual and local need.
